Hey everyone. I would be slightly wrong for posting it, because I am one to contribute to pointless things, but lately I have seen a string of posts that while some may want to read, the majority of the zone thinks they are pointless. People go on and on about why they are pointless, and the purpose of the post is turned into a bashing session. My advice, and again, I admit that I need to take this myself, just don't post on them and they will die off. Some people just do it for attention, don't give it to them. Some people actually have a story to tell, and even though you may not care about it, someone might, and this place is all about free speech, so people can for the most part, post what they want. Just a suggestion.
But posts die on their own; even those with the mmost life in them. You're right though, and I have to take my own advice on this topic as well. If you don't like what a poster has going on, don't bother posting on the topic. But I'd say it all works out in time.
Hey just to be a contrarian here:
In the free marketplace of ideas, if you have one person wants attention, another comes along and wants entertainment and gets it out of the attention seeker, and a third comes along to prove their point? Why not. Free exchange of ideas and all that. Including the freedom for the OP to post this topic also.
It all works out in the end. The rear end. Huh huh huh huh huh huh.

Yes. I love the entertainment. Keep them coming.
And if someone gets frustrated by the board posts, they can always bite their book bag. If it's leather.

You could always not click on it too! There have been several posts where I personally, have said my piece, then not bothered to waste my time with them or the people who continued to post to them anymore. Eventually, like was said previously, everyone gets bored of them anyway.
The point of many of the posts that we might lable pointless is to seek attention for one reason or another. I for one post some of my creations here as a way to have others hear or read them, either for validation that my talents are worth pursuing, or for critical advice. Some might find that pointless. Given my views and replies, I'd say most people do in fact. Some people post - and also comment on posts - simply to stir the pot; create drama and contention. And they are validated because people respond. I don't think anyone posts for the sake of nothing, knowing and being okay with the fact they aren't going to get a response. It's been stated time and time again, if you don't like the topic, leave it. If you don't like the person associated with the topic, don't read topics by that person. If you think it's stupid, don't bother wasting your time and the time of the poster by saying how stupid it is. And yes, I've probably been guilty of that. Anything beyond that is validating the topic as something other than pointless. I I find the entirety of the "games" board a complete waste of time. But others love them. One person's golden nugget is another's stanky captain's log. I said that particularly for imp and his brand of humor. I agree with the overall tone of this topic, but I think, as has been said to death, that the only people who can do antyhing about it are the people who read, or don't, and comment, or don't.
Now let's all have a nice circle talk about the nature of pointless posts ... or not?

Now pointless post have a purpose. Not only do they help me waste some time, they make me laugh often.
This makes them pointed.
I don't carry a book bag, but a purse. The last time I bit leather was to hold it because my hands were full and I was trying to poke a hole in the strap.
My purses, I've tasted, but not bitten in anger.
Good leather is felt, smelled, then tasted. If it is slightly salty,or sweet, you know you got legit leather.

Yeah exactly. If there is a board post that I don't want to read I just don't
click on it. People also said posting multipld board topics or pointless ones
are considered spam; that's not necessarily true. People could just ignore
them.
And, certain people can stop posting them just because we could ignore them. Just saying...

Wayne I've never heard of leather being sweet. Salty, yes, which is in part why the creatures will nibble on it when you're out camping.
Good leather smells wonderful in the rain IMHO.
Not sugar sweet, just not bitter. Lol
